About Udgita

“Makkal Sevaye Magesan Sevai”, that is, Service to Mankind is the service to God. Geriatric phase remains challenging for those who are unfortunate and Udgita Homes is there to help those in need during their old age. We also serve the young orphaned in our home with a capacity of 30 dwellers max.

Though Udgita Trust was formed a couple of years ago, the home for the orphaned active old aged, and young was started in early 2023. It was a dream come true and as a founder of this trust, I (Baskar Godavarthi) would like to serve the orphaned old age people. The trust is registered in Tamilnadu, India, and as an NGO availed 80G. I’ve volunteered to serve old age people for more than 3 decades in different old age homes in Tamilnadu as well as in New York, USA.

  • UDGITA TRUST’S HOME AT MADHAVARAM CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 30 PEOPLE AND PROVIDE EACH ONE WITH FOOD AND SHELTER. IT ALSO SUPPORTS THEM FOR THEIR ACTIVE LIFESTYLE THROUGH YOGA, PRANAYAMA, ETC., AND FOR THE YOUNG ORPHANED, WE PROVIDE THEM WITH SCHOOLING, ETC. WE WILL ALSO START OTHER AWARENESS PROGRAMS THAT MIGHT HELP BOTH THE UDGITA HOME DWELLERS AS WELL AS THE NEIGHBORING COMMUNITY.
